BEGINNERS
Beginners yoga classes will give you a strong foundation for practicing yoga properly. Breathing techniques that reduce stress and increase energy, warmups, yoga postures, the Sun Salutation series and deep relaxation are taught in a thorough manner for new beginners.
MIXED
Mixed level classes are ideal for the student who has progressed beyond the Beginner's class as well as the seasoned student who prefers a moderate pace. You will practice a broad variety of postures, Sun Salutations and sequences of poses for a smooth, flowing workout.
EASY DOES IT
Easy-Does-It is ideal for yoga students who prefer to ease into an exercise program gently and safely, or for those who have been encouraged by their doctor to exercise with ease after recovering from an injury, surgery or illness. Sharon York, RYT 500, specializes in teaching yoga to individuals with physical limitations.
FULL-FIGURED YOGA
Practicing a gentle-styled yoga, specifically tailored for full-figured women, has a positive affect on the body by toning and strengthening muscles. The gentle sequence of poses, aided with the use of props, are designed to move the spine in all directions, stimulating and soothing your body internally and externally. Chairs, bolsters, blankets, neck pillows, eye pillows, yoga straps, and sandbags are incorporated into this yoga practice.
RAJA YOGA(MIXED)
Raja Yoga is a special mixed level class which also incorporates the spiritual aspects of the eight-fold path of a yoga lifestyle. Yoga literature and additional breathing and meditation techniques will be introduced to provide a wider view of yoga.
INTERMEDIATE & ADVANCED
Intermediate and advanced level classes provide various levels of challenge and growth for more serious yoga students. Instructors offer simpler variations for more challenging asanas and encourage students to work at their own level.
